Judge Janice Rogers Brown on C.S. Lewis and Judging
The James Wilson Institute will host a program featuring former Judge Janice Rogers Brown on Friday, October 19th at the DACOR Bacon House in Washington, D.C. The title of the lecture is "Judicial Impiety: Dissin' the Tao." Doors will open at 5:30pm (a light reception will be served) and the program will begin at 6:00. Another reception will follow the event at 7:15.
Janice Rogers Brown received her B.A. from California State University, Sacramento and her J.D. from the UCLA School of Law. She also received a Master of Laws degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. In 1996, after working for various government agencies, she was appointed to the California Supreme Court. In 2003, she was appointed by President George W. Bush to the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, to which she was confirmed in 2005. She retired from active federal service in 2017.
